Commentary: Iran rejects Sarkozy’s claim on missile threats
Sarkozy asserted that Iran missile capabilities posses threat to the western world. He is of the opinion that France should build strong deterrent against Iranian threat. He expressed these views while speaking on Friday at the launch of the fourth of France’s latest generation of nuclear-armed submarines.
How can Iran pose threat to the Western army, which has sophisticated weapons and missile systems?
These countries are upgrading their fighting capabilities using the threat of Islamic militant as pretext. The rhetoric and claims of Iranian Mullah are justifying their expenditure on Arms. Iran boasted that its Iran’s Shahab-3 missile, with a range of 2,000 km (1,250 miles), is capable of hitting Israel and U.S. bases in the Gulf.
How can Iran make missiles when it does not have the capabilities to build parts for aging fighters and commercial plans?
